About Me

Having had careers in music & IT, In 2003, I decided to train as an Osteopath. It was a combination of Osteopaths & Chiropractors who got me back on my feet again following painful neck & lower back injuries. In June 2008 I qualified as an Osteopath (BSc Ost), at the College of Osteopaths, London. Setting up my own practice working from home in Leytonstone. I’ve worked at clinics in London, Brighton & Hove & as a Mobile Osteopath in Banbury.

Since moving to Banbury from Brighton, I’ve been spending the past 3 years driving around North Oxfordshire as a mobile Osteopath, carrying out hundreds of Osteopathic Home visits, treating folk in their own homes in over 30 villages & towns. It was a great way of meeting the good people of this county and getting to know the area & landscape. However, due to the Covid situation & health and safety restrictions I’ve had to discontinue home visits. But I’m happy to say I’ve decided to come and practice at Ashcroft Therapy Centre, all day on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Importantly It’s a very well-run clinic and a safe environment for me to welcome my patients to.

My Approach

This past year has affected everyones lives. I feel that Osteopaths and other fellow Allied Healthcare professional are in a privileged position to help folk through these crazy and sometimes bewildering times. In my 12 years as an Osteopath I’ve treated over a thousand patients, with a wide spectrum of presentations & ailments from simple aches and pains to nasty spinal injuries, from cancer or strokes to ME and now, I find I’m also treating Long-Covid patients.

I’m continually developing and practicing a very holistic & patient centred approach to diagnosis and treatment, combining and utilising a variety of treatment techniques, including adjustments, neuromuscular techniques, stretching & articulation to harmonic & Cranial techniques. I’m passionate about getting people out of pain and keeping them out of pain, setting goals and targets that are meaningful and measurable to each individual. Almost everyone has a potential towards health, for me it’s about finding ways of unlocking that potential.

How I Can Help

Osteopathy is a safe and effective system of diagnosis and treatment. We must complete at least 4 years training and by law (act of parliament) must be registered with a regulatory body in order to practice.

Continuing professional development is a requirement, for me this has included workshops and lectures on advanced osteopathic techniques, cranial workshops, brain trauma injuries, the central, autonomic and enteric nervous systems and over the past year I’ve passed the NHS Infection prevention & control - level 2 module, and attended many other online medical lectures focused on covid & long-covid. So you know you’ll be in safe hands.
